About Backyard Mercantile

My love for event styling started simply, with a desire to make things pretty. Whether it was a friend’s surprise birthday party or a veggie tray dressed up with special touches and thoughtful details, I was always looking for ways to make ordinary moments feel unique and memorable.

Before long, I found myself helping friends with their events, and that’s when I realized how much I truly loved creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind settings. Planning my own daughter’s wedding was the turning point, I was completely hooked. From there came bridal showers, celebrations, and assisting with more weddings, each one fueling my passion even more.

Two years ago, I planned my first full wedding, and since then my business has grown organically through word of mouth while I continue to build and refine my inventory. What started as a creative outlet has become something I’m deeply proud of.

By day, I’m a teacher and I’ve learned that the busier I am, the better I perform. I thrive on creating, problem-solving, and multitasking, and event styling allows me to bring all of that together. I’m beyond excited to grow a business centered around what I love most: creating beautiful spaces and unforgettable moments.
